Memorials following genocide are large events. Beginning with history, the project soon turns toward research and documentation of evidence. This work forms the basis for memorial development. Using symbolic language and inventive materials, artists integrate research directly into the design of the memorial.
It takes time to come to terms with a difficult past. Sometimes generations. We are at a point of readiness to begin the next chapter of this story. I invite you to join me on this journey.
