  • Memorial Development

    Developing a memorial concept for the Jungfernhof site, using drawings, video, animation, and presentation of an architectural model. Funds will be used as matching funds for foundational support.

  • Research

    Research to support memorial development, includes interviewing prospective architects in Latvia and the US.

  • Mourning Shroud

    Second Mourning Shroud developed in response to the question: “What does it mean to be human?” will include a ceremony at the MetFern cemetery in Waltham, containing an anonymous series of stones representing 296 graves.

  • Exhibition

    Highlighting art, history, science, photography, video, two Mourning Shrouds, and plans for memorial development. Emphasis will be on social justice and interactive methodologies of remembrance.

  • Documentation

    Short film representing different aspects of this multimedia, multi-faceted project. The human story of loss, grief, and identity will dominate a narrative about truth and healing.
